This whole business shows a complete disregard for anything but Bezo's bottom line.

I don't much like ebook readers anyway. I'm old school, I guess, likeing the book in hand. The smell of the paper and ink. If I had ever entertained a notion to get one, that was scotched a while back when I read that Amazon had deleted 1984 from the Kindle abd returned the purchaser's money bothered me.

I understand there was some sort of copyright infringement. But the notion that they can take away a purchase bothers me. It would be like me buying a paper book and having Amazon show up at my door later demanding the book back, purchase price in hand.

I think I need to investigate other avenues of purchasing books if Amazon is going to take this approach. The only thing keeping me now is the price(I know it's not good for writers and publishers though), as I'm on a fixed income with my disability. It's attractive being able to purchase more books with my dollars.

Maybe it's not worth it in the long run. I AM torn.
