The Strange Paths Our Lives Take
Blogging used to be a regular thing for me, but over the past few years that’s faded. You’ll find me more often on Facebook now, though I’ve taken the unusual (for me) measure of blocking my information from people who aren’t my “friends”.
The reasons are vast and complex, and part of the reason why I’m not over here much anymore. At some point I may come back to regular, transparent blogging, but for right now I have a need to step back.
In recent months we did have one of the most significant events in our lives. We always knew Brian’s biological dad was out there somewhere, but I’d been given just enough misinformation by the other side of his family to keep me from locating him. Once I started to see through that, I cast the net a little wider, and found Brian’s dad, and his brother and sister.
It’s changed the dynamics of our extended family relationships completely, and that’s been a great thing for us overall. We already feel like we’ve found the family we really belong with, and for that, we’re blessed. I can’t even begin to express how wonderful it was to see the kids with their Grampa and Nana, and uncle and aunt.

And so our focus continues to be on family, immediate and extended, and on Spinetingler. For now, I’ll let the cobwebs gather here, probably until I have a more long-term decision on my blog’s future.

Those Facebook-averse among us (there are a few) miss your updates, Sandra. This post was all too short, but sweet; I’m happy you and Brian were able to reconnect with family, and it’s evident from those pictures that reunion was a joyous one.
